Postgraduate studies in Data Analysis and Engineering at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn last two semesters and are conducted online on the Google Workspace platform in English. Classes are recorded and made available to postgraduate students.

The condition for applying for admission to postgraduate studies is to have a Polish or foreign higher education diploma in any field entitling to continue education at higher level studies or to apply for a doctoral degree in the country of issue.

The studies enable you to acquire competences primarily in programming, as well as practical applications of Data Science, machine learning and Big Data. A graduate of Data Analysis and Engineering is a person who combines the role of a programmer and a data analyst, whose solutions are to be programmed to work automatically.

A graduate of postgraduate studies is characterized by the following competences:

  • uses IT tools for data acquisition, processing and analysis,
  • programs in Python,
  • has knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning,
  • applies them to the analysis of data sets from various sources,
  • implements known algorithms in the field of with computer visualization,
  • uses properly selected programming environments to design, create, modify and manage databases.

 

Required documents:

  • application for admission to studies with a personal questionnaire generated in the irk.uwm.edu.pl system;
  • a diploma of completion of higher education, legalized/with an apostille or another document of completion of higher education abroad entitling to undertake postgraduate studies in the country where it was issued. The document must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator or consul;
  • photocopy of passport (page with photo).

A candidate for postgraduate studies "Data analysis and engineering" registers in the https://irk.uwm.edu.pl/ system, attaching scans of the required documents. After the qualification process, the basis for admission to postgraduate studies is to submit a complete set of original required documents to the study office.

The recruitment committee checks the completeness and correctness of the documentation attached at https://irk.uwm.edu.pl/, makes a decision on the qualification of the submitted candidates and prepares a list of qualified persons. 

The basis for admission to postgraduate studies is to submit a set of originals of the required documents to the study office:

  • application for admission to studies with a personal questionnaire generated in the irk.uwm.edu.pl system;
  • two copies of the agreement on the terms and conditions of charging fees for the provided educational services related to postgraduate studies, signed by the candidate;
  • a diploma of completion of higher education, legalized/with an apostille or another document of completion of higher education abroad entitling to undertake postgraduate studies in the country where it was issued, together with the translation of the documents into Polish by a sworn translator or consul;
  • photocopy of passport (page with photo).

Admission is determined by the order in which applications are submitted in the IRK system.
